Battery70%
Watt-hours, the one range figure you can compare between brands. 500 Wh scores none; 1,400 Wh or more scores full marks.
Battery and system safety15%
Full marks for UL 2849, which covers the whole electrical system. Half for UL 2271, which covers the battery alone.
Weight15%
A lighter bike goes further on the same battery. 55 lb or less scores full marks; 95 lb or more scores none. Unpublished scores none.
Scores use only figures from manufacturer pages. Full methodology
